ABOUT THE COVER:

The April 2010 Local Dish cover photo of Dr. Mogavero posing with members of the professional snowboarding community was taken by local Mammoth professional photographer Peter Morning in October 2009 at the bottom of the Roller Coaster chairlift (Chair 4) at Mammoth Mountain, where the pink Mammoth park features were being painted for the upcoming 2009-2010 season.

Front row: 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Olympic Halfpipe team member and 2010 Winter X-Games Halfpipe Finalist Greg Bretz; 2006 and 2010 U.S. Snowboarding Olympic Halfpipe team member and 2010 Winter X-Games Halfpipe Finalist Elena Hight. At the time this photo was taken, neither Greg nor Elena knew they would make the 2010 team! Both made the halfpipe finals at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
